Asian Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings


2 lbs chicken wings
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1-2 cloves garlic
1 inch size ginger, minced
1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1/4 tsp cayenne
baking powder
1 tbsp sesame seeds
3 green onion, minced



  • Preheat oven to 425F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Bake chicken wings with salt and pepper for 35 minutes.
  • While cooking, mix rest of ingredients except for sesame seeds and green onion in a small pot.  Heat over medium heat to boil, then simmer and thicken with baking powder.
  • When wings are finished baking, add sesame seeds and green onion to sauce.
  • Mix wings in the sauce and coat well.
  • Depending on done-ness of chicken wings, bake at 375 for 10 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes. Or just broil for 5 minutes.


  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Salt and pepper the chicken wings.
  • Combine rest of ingredients for sauce together. Mix chicken wings in the sauce.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or more until cooked, stirring occasionally.
