Ingredients

Beef roast
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
Rosemary
Ginger powder
Cooking wine or wine
Soya sauce

Directions

  • Chop/mince the garlic.
  • Marinate roast with wine, soya sauce, garlic, salt, pepper and ginger powder 24 hours prior to cooking the roast.
  • Set thermometer for 130 degrees F.
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Cook the roast for 15 minutes.
  • Change the oven temperature to 200 degrees F – 300 degrees F (the lower the temperature, the more evenly the roast will cook) without opening the oven.
  • Cook until roast reaches 130-135 degrees F (for medium rare). Prime rib can be removed at 125 degrees F.
  • Remove the roast from the oven and cover with tinfoil for 20-30 minutes.
  • Remove tinfoil and cut the beef.
